TARES AMONG THE WHEAT
Matthew 13:24-
Jesus in His exhortations said that there would always be tares among the wheat, or in other words the lost among the saved in any given congregations.
Tares are persons that may know the truth, and speak the language of a believer. They may be consistent and faithful attendees in all the services, but maybe not.
Many tares may have a desire to be recognized for their standing in the community; some may even be looked up to, and admired by many, and have places of prominence in their congregation, as teachers, group leaders, or even pastors or deacons.
Many tares want other believers to think that they are truly an asset to their church and actively seek acceptance within the congregation. They appear friendly, likable and even pious, yet it is a deception as wolves in sheep's clothing, as Jesus tells us in Matt 7:15.
Those tares may give indications that they live an upright life, but they feel that living holy lives displays a sense of arrogance, and distracts from their self image.
Those persons that are tares, at some point rejects sound doctrine, they have reservations and find reason to take and hold to ideas that are opposed and contrary to sound scriptural doctrine.
Many tares actively attempt to influence other believers that the scriptures are outdated and are irrelevant in our enlightened age.
Their worldly views and activities are more important to pursue, therefore they engage and hold their attention.
They finally falls away from the faith, that was once delivered unto the saints. Yes some falls away in unbelief, rejecting the gospel of Christ.
Tares were never truly saved -
The Unforgivable Sin is Unbelief In The Gospel Of Jesus Christ. Therefore:
When the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, In flaming
fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of
our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the
presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power; When He shall come to be glorified
in His saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony
among you was believed) in that day. 2 Thessalonians 1:7-
For the Preaching of the Cross is to Them that Perish Foolishness
But unto Us which are Saved it is the Power of God.
