Evolution: the Theories and the Facts

THEORY:
The Universe began with the Big Bang.
FACT:
This could not be so. Bangs never begin anything.
However, they do follow explosions. But to have an
explosion, there must first be something to
explode and then there would need to be something
to cause the explosion. Explosions have never been
known to cause anything but destruction.
CHALLENGE:
Identify an example of anything consisting of
order and design that was created by an explosion.
THEORY:
Human beings evolved from ape-like creatures, and
all living things arose by natural processes from
a single original cell.
FACT:
Although the Theory of Evolution is accepted as
fact by most learning institutions, it has never
been observed to take place. Neither has one fact
been recorded which can prove it. This is why it
is still called “The Theory of Evolution”.
THEORY:
Nearly all scientists believe in evolution.
FACT:
Since over 150 years of study has not produced any
facts to support the theory, many scientists have
now abandoned their faith in it. The late Sir Fred
Hoyle, one of Britain’s most eminent scientists,
stated that the chances of life coming about
through evolution were about as equal to the
chances that a storm in a rubbish dump could
create a Jumbo Jet plane.
THEORY:
Most people believe in the theory.
FACT:
Most people have never given it much critical
thought. Adherents generally accept the theories
only because they have been taught to believe
them.
THEORY:
Evolution is evident by the fact that everything
is changing.
FACT:
Changes do in fact take place in all species. No
two people, even twins, look exactly alike, have
the same voice, or even have the same
fingerprints. No two eggs are the same shape and
no two snowflakes have the same pattern. But
changes are confined to limitations set by the
Creator. The people remain people; the eggs remain
eggs and the snowflakes, snowflakes. There are
said to be over 700,000 known species of insects,
yet no matter how much they differ they still
remain insects.
THEORY:
All life started from a single cell by chance.
FACT:
A simple living cell is more complicated than any
computer ever built. Yet, though smaller than a
speck of dust, it can reproduce itself. The
probability of this extremely complex mechanism
arising by chance is about as possible as an
explosion in a printing factory producing
Webster’s dictionary.
CHALLENGE:
Try to think of any very basic useful designed
object such as, say, a pin, a block of wood or a
glass marble that you think could possibly have
evolved as a result of a series of chance
happenings.
THEORY:
Life was formed as a result of an accidental
association of atoms during electrical activity.
QUESTION:
Where did the hugely complex atoms and the
electrical activity come from?
FACT:
Both noise and uncontrolled electrical discharges
are always destructive: they never create order.
Even if, through a miracle, a living cell had once
come about by chance it would not have been
possible to survive without anything to sustain
it.
THEORY:
The complete balance of nature, the motions of
billions of galaxies evolved by natural processes.
FACT:
Not even an object as basic as a matchstick or a
pin can be formed by chance. Objects cannot be
kept in motion without a controlling power. Life
can only proceed from life.
THEORY:
Billions of fossils found buried in the earth's
crust support the theory of evolution.
FACT:
No trace of evolution has been discovered in
fossils. None have been found to have traces of
gradations from one species to another. As Charles
Darwin stated "Why is all nature not in confusion
instead of being as we see them well defined
species? Geological research does not yield the
infinitely many fine gradations between past and
present species required by the (evolutionary)
theory; and this is the most obvious of the many
objections which may be argued against." (Origin
of Species, page 178).
THEORY:
Darwin established the Theory of Evolution as
fact.
FACT:
Darwin presumed that animals and plants evolved
but could not prove it. This is why a century and
a quarter after his death it is still called ‘The
theory of Evolution’. He had many reservations
about the theories including the following
statement from his book ‘The Origin Of Species’:
“To suppose that the eye with all its inimitable
contrivances for adjusting the focus to different
distances, for admitting different amounts of
light, and for the correction of spherical and
chromatic aberration could have been formed by
natural selection seems, I freely confess, absurd
to the highest degree.”
This and some other reservations Darwin had about
evolution, which are mention elsewhere in this
paper, can be found among several others in
chapter 6 of ‘The Origin of Species’ entitled
‘Difficulties on Theory’.
THEORY:
Transitions are observable in nature.
FACT:
There are no creatures with part fin and part
wing, or part scale and part feather, or part toe
and part hoof, or part of any functional organ. To
be functional all organs must be complete. To have
a part ear, or a part eye, or a part nose is of no
more use than being without the organ entirely. As
Darwin said,
"Why if the species have descended from other
species by fine gradations, do we not see
everywhere innumerable transitional forms?”
(Origin of Species, page 179).
Consider how even a tiny imperfection such as a
speck of dirt in the eye, or pepper up one’s nose
can temporarily dysfunction these highly complex
organs. To substitute the scaly covering of a fish
to a fur covering would require a vast number of
miraculous biological changes, not just exterior
changes, but internal ones as well.
THEORY:
Evolution occurs as a result of mutations.
FACT:
Mutations are errors in the regeneration of
organisms and are almost always a handicap, if not
lethal. To believe that organisms can be improved
by mutations is to believe that printing errors
will enhance Shakespeare's plays.
THEORY:
The process is one of micro-mutations; mutations
that develop in minute series so slow that it
cannot be detected.
FACT:
The question inevitably arises, "If it cannot be
detected, how do we know it takes place? To the
realist this concept is hard to accept when one
considers that it is impossible to grow hair on a
baldhead where hair once flourished, even though
the conditions for growth are absolutely ideal.
Neither can lost second teeth be re-grown when the
conditions for re-growth would seem un-improvable.
With this obvious knowledge it’s difficult to
conceive how hair and teeth could have evolved
from an imperfect foundation.
THEORY:
Evolution can take place by acquired
characteristics.
FACT:
There is no evidence to support such odd theories
like that of Darwin who suggested that giraffes
acquired their long legs and necks by needing to
stretch for higher leaves to avoid starvation. If
so, why are female giraffes shorter than male
giraffes? And how did baby giraffes survive? If
giraffes could elongate their necks, how come they
couldn’t change their diet? The fact is that
giraffes can be kept in zoos all over the world
because they are so easy to feed.
CHALLENGE
: Explain how and why any creature, in an effort
to survive, could possible bring about incredibly
complex physical changes and programmed its
descendants to inherit these same characteristics
and pass them on to future generations yet not be
able do such a simple thing as change its diet?
THEORY:
A polar bear is an example of how an animal can
adapt its color to its environment.
FACT:
It is impossible to change the color of hair at
will. Dark bears standout against the white
backgrounds of icy regions and are therefore more
likely to be killed off for meat than the white
ones, which don’t. This is why the white ones have
survived in the icy regions.
THEORY:
It has been suggested that at one time, a reptile
gave birth to a bird and that all major gaps in
the fossil record are accounted for in this way.
FACT:
Billions of eggs are hatched under human
observance each year. There is no record of any
new or partly evolved bird ever having been
hatched.
THEORY:
The evolution of the horse goes back as far as 65
million years.
FACT:
This evolution exists on paper only, by arranging
drawings of animals, including some that are now
extinct, side-by-side. There are no facts to
support it.
THEORY:
Land creatures evolved from sea inhabiting
creatures.
FACT:
All living sea creatures die quickly out of water
because they cannot breathe air. Billions of fish
are caught each year. None have ever been observed
to be evolving. Not only would a fish need to
develop perfectly completed lungs instantly, it
would need to change practically every organ in
its body to survive out of water. To survive such
a change, at least two of the same fish (a male
and female) would have to undergo the same
miracles at precisely the same place and time
frame for the fish to reproduce.
CHALLENGE:
Champion swimmers practices attempting to increase
the length of time they can survive underwater
without breathing day after day for years, yet
none have been able to survive for longer than a
few minutes. How many attempts can a fish have at
surviving out of water?
THEORY:
Mammals such as whales and dolphins have done the
full circle of evolution making the transition
from land inhabiting creatures back to being sea
inhabitants. Concerning this, the following was
written in the December 1976 edition of the
National Geographic Magazine:
“The whale’s ascendancy to sovereign size
apparently began sixty million years ago when
hairy four-legged animals, in search of food and
sanctuary ventured into the water. As the eons
have passed many changes slowly occurred. Hind
legs disappeared, front legs changed to flippers,
hair gave way to a thick blanket of blubber,
nostrils moved to the top of the head, the tail
broadened, and in the buoyant world the body
became enormous.”
FACT
: There is not one shred of evidence to support
any one of these extraordinary theories. If a
shortage of food was the motivation for venturing
into the sea, how did these animals sustain
themselves over the sixty million years it took to
evolve? Venturing into the sea, even if it were
possible, would have meant that they would have to
have a complete change of diet. Wouldn’t it have
been easier for the ‘hairy four-legged animals’ to
have done this in their natural habitat on land?
THEORY:
Human beings evolved from ape-like creatures such
as Java man, Nebraska, man, Neandertha1 man, etc.
FACT:
All drawings and models of these supposed
‘missing-links’ are figments of mankind's
imagination. All fossil bones on which evidence
for such so-called creatures are based belonged to
apes, monkeys or humans. Some were deliberate
hoaxes such as the famous Piltdown man, which had
scientists fooled for decades. What is more,
something that evolutionists like to keep quiet
about is the fact that in every case where these
questionable fossils have been found there have
also been found fossils that were unquestionably
human. This fact puts the case of ‘Ape-man’ in
total conflict. The Nebraska man, who has been
drawn, reconstructed and exhibited in museums
throughout the world, was based on a single tooth,
which later transpired to have belonged to an
extinct pig!
THEORY:
Human skulls have been found that are over two
million years old.
F ACT:
By starting with a population of just two people
and doubling the population 32 times, you arrive
at over eight billion. This number is well in
excess of the current world population. If man was
on the earth two million years ago. This would
suggest that it has taken an average of about
63,000 years for each time the population has
doubled. However, if the story of Noah and the Ark
is true and the great flood took place about 4,500
years ago as Bible chronology indicates, then the
world's population has doubled 29˝ times since
Noah and his family of eight people survived it.
That is an average of once every 155 years. This
rate of population increase is very close to the
estimated population growth over the last
millennium, but much, much slower than the current
rate.
CHALLENGE
: Get out a calculator and check out how many
times you have to double the figure ‘two’ to
arrive at the estimated currant world population
of six-and-a-half-billion.
THEORY:
The Leakey family has found skulls belonging to
humans or their ancestors, which are millions of
years old.
FACT:
All these skulls resemble apes and were found in
areas where monkeys are prominent. It is
interesting to note that whenever a fossil is
found it is inevitably considered to be millions
of years old. Seldom, if ever, does one hear of a
human fossil that is only a few thousand years
old. If man has inhabited the earth for millions
of years, then the number of people to have lived
and died during that period would have been
astronomical. That these supposedly
millions-of-year sold skulls typical of what the
Leakey’s found were preserved while countless
billions of younger skulls didn’t remains
inexplicable. so, if human beings lived millions
of years ago, how come there are no traces of
civilizations that are more than a few thousand
years old?
THEORY:
The age of fossils can be dated by the age of the
sedimentary rocks in which they are found.
FACT:
According to the World Book Encyclopedia, “The age
of rocks is determined by the fossils found in
them.” (Vol. 15. Page 85). On the other hand the
same World Book Encyclopedia states, "Scientists
determine when fossil were formed by finding out
the age of the rocks in which they lie. (Vol. 7,
page 364). In other words, scientists date the age
of the earth’s sedimentary rocks by the type of
fossils found in them, and they date the fossils
by the age of the rocks in which they are found.
This is circular thinking, not scientific
thinking.
THEORY:
The age of rocks and fossils can be ascertained by
radiometric dating. (E.g, uranium/lead,
potassium/argon, etc).
FACT:
These types of dating methods are based on
assumptions that cannot be scientifically tested.
The decay rate is assumed to be constant, but much
scientific evidence supports the view that decay
rates alter under different conditions.
CHALLENGE:
Take three bags of cement. Keep one in a
compartment at room temperature. Keep another in a
damp basement. Immerse the third in water. See if
they all solidify at the same rate.
THEORY:
The age of fossils can be assumed from the
position in the ‘Geologic Column’ in which they
are found.
FACT:
The ‘Geologic Column’ appears in its entirety only
on paper. In any given location on earth, vast
geologic periods of time are either missing, in
the wrong order, or even inverted. The fact that
strata which is supposed to be billions of years
old lies over soil supposedly only millions of
years old still remains unanswered.
CHALLENGE:
Make inquiries in order to try and find out
whereabouts in the world even as much as two
thirds of the so-called ‘Geologic Column’ appears
in the right order.
THEORY:
Vestigial organs, non-functional organs that we
have discarded from our pre-human days, are
evidence of evolution.
FACT:
Evolutionists once listed 186 such organs.
However, with increasing knowledge this list has
shrunk to about four. Even the function of the
appendix and the tonsils are now known to be
defenses against disease. The coccyx bones (those
at the bottom of the spine), which evolutionists
like to point out, are the useless vestiges of our
former tails; serve as the anchor for certain
pelvis muscles. Also if the coccyx is removed, one
cannot sit properly.
THEORY:
Evolution came about by crossbreeding.
FACT:
Hybrids are nearly all sterile, and with those few
that are sometimes not sterile, this process
ceases only after a few generations. Furthermore,
hybridization is unknown among animals in a free,
wild state.
THEORY:
During embryonic development every individual goes
through the same stages by which it evolved from a
primitive form.
FACT:
The evidence for this theory was purposely faked
by the scientist, Ernst Hackle, in order to get it
accepted. Quaintly, though, some evolutionists
continue to use this fallacy as an argument.
THEORY:
Allowed enough time, things move from simple to
more complex. E. g. matter into planets and stars,
single cells into human beings, etc.
FACT:
This is in direct conflict to the second law of
Thermodynamics, which states that things tend to
run down and deteriorate in time. Anything that is
hot cools down, high things become lower, order
turns to disorder, machinery wears out and perfect
goods become imperfect with age. It is patently
obvious to everyone that the natural process for
everything, without human intervention, is to get
worse with the passing of time. This is known in
science as increased entropy. Gardens turn to
weeds, cars turn to rust, clocks wind down.
Randomness cannot produce higher order.
CHALLENGE:
Point out a situation where any of the above
doesn’t happen.
THEORY:
Evolutionists now agree that evolution is
developing by punctuating equilibrium. These are
sudden changes in the process of evolution.
FACT:
First the theory was that evolution took place by
acquired characteristics, next it was thought to
be by survival of the fittest, then by cross
breeding, then mutations, then micro mutations and
now by punctuated equilibrium. Clearly, each new
theory of evolution is a tacit rejection of the
old one. Punctuated equilibrium once again ignores
the fact that a male and female of the same
species must undergo the same changes in exactly
the same way, in the same location, during the
same limited time frame for the organism to
survive. Such complimentary chance events are
beyond credible likelihood.
CHALLENGE:
If you told someone that you believed the ‘Theory
of Evolution’, which of the many theories would
you say was the actual right one?
THEORY:
Evolution is an indisputable scientific fact.
FACT:
Getting people to believe that the theory of
evolution has been one of the most successful
con-tricks of all time. You will have gathered by
now that the theory of evolution is based on
myths. It has been devised to turn people away
from accepting the truth revealed by God in the
Holy Bible. If evolution took place then there was
no Adam and Eve. Thus there would have been no
original sin. So there would have been no need for
Jesus to shed His blood to redeem us from sin. No
wonder the devil encourages belief in this false
theory.
So how did we get here? The answer is found at the
beginning of the Bible in Gensis.
